Automotive Dual-Battery System Digital Display Voltage Sensitive Relay
Description
A voltage-sensitive relay (VSR) is a crucial component for vehicles equipped with dual-battery systems. Its primary function is to separate the main cranking battery from the secondary accessories’ battery. The VSR activates when it detects that the alternator is running and charging the vehicle's battery. Upon activation, it connects the two batteries, allowing the secondary battery to charge efficiently.
Advantages
Prevents Battery Drain: The VSR protects the main cranking battery from being drained while powering accessories when the vehicle is off.
Emergency Override Capability: In cases where the auxiliary battery is needed to crank the engine, the system allows for manual override with the click of a switch.
Features
Automatically combines two batteries during charging and isolates them when not charging.
No voltage drops compared to battery isolator diodes, ensuring maximum efficiency (0.6V drop avoided).
Built-in LED indication lights, which turn ON when the VSR engages.
Flexible mounting options, including surface or panel mounting.
Optional Storage Mode that enables zero power consumption when the engine is off.
Applications
The VSR's versatile design and high performance make it an excellent choice for:
Camper Vans
4x4 Vehicles
Leisure Vehicles
Marine Applications
