PLEASE NOTE: 
It is common knowledge that the KTM motorcycles this starter motor fits are very hard on starter motors.
The main reason for a starter motor failure is due to the starter Bendix drive failing.
Once the Bendix has failed, it causes the starter to not engage correctly and in some cases, the starter will not turn over and tries constantly to get it to turn over, causing the starter motor to burn out.
Burnt-out starter motors will NOT be accepted back under warranty and or if the gear on the end of the starter has been damaged. 

KTM have modified the Bendix on newer models to help resolve the issue.
We highly recommend inspecting the Bendix drive and replacing it if necessary to prevent damaging the relay and new starter motor.
